Wow, do I hate Michigan Tech right now. I'm not sure how that just happened... Northern just lost to Tech 5-3. We played the last 4 minutes of the game without a goalie. Stewart wasn't pulled until after the 5th goal, then Reid went in for a few minutes. Olver seemed to be hogging the puck and not passing at all. The guys don't seem to have the connections with who to pass to and get a play going. Where's the teamwork?? I don't understand. Northern was the favorite in this game and something happened. On the plus side my friend Lindsey and I have decided to become puckheads this season. I figure, it's my senior year, why not go out with a big bang? While I'm at it I'm going to look for someone to work on Rent so that I don't have to. There's no way that I'm missing 4 college hockey games because of a show, I can spend the rest of my life doing that. This is my last year to be a true college hockey fan. To end this post: currently it is 12:16 am...
AND TECH STILL SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

Reel Big (Angry) Fish
This morning was perhaps one of the oddest mornings I've ever had in my life. I got kicked out of a friend's house because I would not sleep with him... This leads me to believe that men and stupid and obviously don't think with their brains. Last night was fine, I hung out with his roommates and we watched a few movies. Among them was Baseketball, I have been dying to watch this movie again. I lent my copy to a friend and have not seen it since then. I was really excited to watch this movie, it's the perfect movie to watch with guys. They like the cheerleaders and I enjoy the comedy.
On to the connection between the title and my story... Reel Big Fish was in Baseketball as the pep band for the Milwaukee Beers. (That's right the Milwaukee Beers.) When I am really angry or upset I listen to Reel Big Fish. The music has angry moments but the ska cheers me up right away. The first song of my Angry Fish mix is Hate You. The lyrics totally apply to what happened to me earlier today.
A brighter note: I went to the UpFront on Thursday and Lacee and I requested Beer by Reel Big Fish. I had to slip the DJ $2 to get him to play it. It was totally worth it because he played it. It was also entertaining watching people try to dance to ska. No one knows how to skank in Marquette apparently. This was very entertaining as Lacee and I skanked our way around the dance floor to Reel Big Fish.

Life and Times, what's happening?
I can't believe that SNL started going live a few days ago! I was super excited for the new season... I guess I should've done some research before. Two of the women on the show have been replaced, Casey Wilson and Mikayla Watkins. Casey was good but didn't spend that much time on the air. Mikayla was amazing, she had great characters like Angie Tempura. I wish I knew what Lorne was thinking. It's crazy that he thought that Mikayla could use her talent on a sitcom and not on the show. I'm not sure if I agree with that. The only way that I will believe it is if he produces her sitcom. I read something about her going to 30 Rock which would be AWESOME! I think that she could add a lot to that show. It would be fun to see her opposite Tina Fey. Oh yeah, one of the new girl's that they got dropped the f-bomb on LIVE TV! I'm thinking that the sketch was bad as well as the performer. I'm not all too happy about this change of women on the show with Kristin Wiig still there.
On a side note, NMU Hockey has it's first home game, non-conference, on SIX days!!! I cannot wait for Hockey season! It is my relief from the theatre and I don't know what I would do without that release.

Life and Music
Thanks to Zach for getting me into this. I'm not sure if I'll keep up with this blog but I can try. Life and music is amazing, I love listening to music and I recently had such a bad day that I turned the radio off in my car. This is totally unheard of for me, not sure what's going on. I scanned through all of the stations and couldn't find anything that fit my mood so I just turned it off.
On a happier note, the US Olympic Speedskating trials were this past weekend and I attended every day. I managed to miss only one race, which there was a big crash in and I missed it completely! Damn the girl who was selling the t-shirts for taking so long! The last day during the 500m men's racing JR Celski, the next Apolo Ohno, fell and the tip of his right blade went into his left leg. Last I heard the cut was 6 inches long and 3 inches deep. He went straight to the hospital and got stitches. He went back to Salt Lake City today to meet with a doctor there and plans to be on a bike within a week. I really hope that he gets better and that I can see him skating at the Olympics, live or on tv.
Minor theatre rant: I just found out that the Winter Olympics are going on the same weeks as Rent and everything having to do with the show. I do not want to work on the show as much as everyone else at Northern and would prefer to go to the Olympics. I priced tickets for events and they aren't all that bad... I probably won't go because of costs, time, and missing school.
There's a lot of work to do in the theatre for as little as we're doing right now. The First Nighters Club is doing a Haunted House on the stage. It'll be really scary and a lot of work. We figure that we have about 2-3 weeks to get everything together. Also, we're doing a float for Homecoming, we'll see how that turns out and if we use pyro or not.
This is the end of the rant of theatre and the story of my life for the moment.
